    Question #55184. gmackematix asks:

Which two Nigerian-born acts have had top 20 hits in the UK?

I thought at first of Seal, but apparently he was born in Kilburn, London, so I dug a little deeper and came up with Sade (definitely born in Nigeria) and Tunde of the Lighthouse Family, although a couple of sites differ as to where he was born - one says London, but a couple of others say Nigeria.
So there you are - Sade and The Lighthouse Family.

    Brinjal

Definitely Sade, and I thought of Dr Alban.

I think the yay is split between both Maggie nd Brinjal here. I didn't count Tunde Baiyewu of The Lighthouse Family as the other half of the act, Paul Tucker is a Londoner (although arguably Tunde's vocals are the Family's distinguishing feature). Smooth operator Sade (Helen Folasade Adu) came to London from there at the age of four. Dr Alban (Alban Nwabe) hit number two with "It's My Life". I have also seen these listed as the only Nigerian born acts to appear in the US Billboard Top 100.
