In "Jaws" how did Quint die?

    Question #55198. Asked by ilovepuppies.

    MaggieG 5

In the book, Quint dies by drowning when the rope from his harpoon wraps around his foot and he is pulled under by the shark - rather like the death of Captain Ahab in Moby Dick. But in the film he is eaten by the shark.
