    Tom's Restaurant
2880 Broadway ยท New York, NY

Everybody should recognize this place. Made famous on Seinfeld and immortalized in Suzanne Vega's "Tom's Diner," it's well, Tom's Restaurant. Of course, the "Tom's" was shortly cut out of Seinfeld's establishing shots so they no longer had to pay royalties, although you can still spot it in the very early episodes.

    Monk's Diner

Monks can be found at 2880 Broadway at 112th street. The famous Monk's is actually Tom's Restaurant. This diner made pervious history by being the subject of Suzanne Vega's hit song, "Tom's Diner." I've eaten here once, and found it to be typical diner food, but worth the trip for the atmosphere and the Seinfeld memorabilia on the wall. Be prepared: the interior looks nothing like it did on the show. You can call Tom's Restaurant (212)864-6137.
