It could get more complicated than counting from the equinox? Passover is usually started on the first full moon after the equinox (the 15th of the month of Nissan). However, in some (Jewish) years it actually turns out quite early when related tothe Gregorian calendar, and starts before the equinox. Either way it is always on the same Jewish date.
