In the movie "Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country" which eye was Chang missing? How had he lost it?

By running pictures of "General Chang" in Google Images, it appears to be his left eye that is patched. Other than in some kind of insurrection, I can't seem to find how he lost it, but apparently this is explained in the computer game called "Star Trek: Klingon Academy." Mar 15 05, 2:05 AM
