'Rasputin' was in fact a nickname which means unrestrained or dissolute. His real name was Grigory Yefimovich Novykh.

According to Wiki, his name was Grigori Vefimovick Rasputin, his title was Father Grigori, and many viewed him as a holy "strannik" or "starets".
He was also called "the mad monk" or "the black monk".
