What is the connection with a 20 kilogram rock and a word to describe a reel used to hold yarn as it is being wound off?

Question #55425. Asked by peasypod. (Feb 23 05 5:57 PM)

Erg, this is driving me nuts. The reel is, I assume, a bobbin. But I can't connect it to the rock.

Nope, and it's music to my ears to hear someone is going insane over one of my questions. Ahhhhh makes me feel proud.

In 1976 Johannes Swift, an LA secretary, officially married a 20 kg rock so if a swift is a type of reel we have a connection.

Nice One gmack, I knew it wouldn't take you long. Yes, a swift is exactly that.

As for the union of husband and wife I imagine she took quite a pounding that night.

    Only in LA....*rolls eyes*

And if the marriage gets rocky and falls apart, there's always other pebbles on the beach.
