Since all the clocks in Pulp Fiction are stuck at twenty past four, and I haven't got a copy of the Times to hand, my guess would be that their clock shows four thirty. So the answer would be clocks.

Yay, Maggie and I don't know the significance of either. Does anyone else here?

4:20 is a time of day at which many drug users choose to do their drugs. It's a long story, and something of an "inside joke". Here's the story at Snopes:

It's very cheesey, and the knowledge of its significance is something most young drug users seem to take pride in. One hopes that their pride in such an arbitrary bit of trivia wans as quickly as their interest in using those drugs. Of course, that wasn't the case with my ex. He didn't grow out of either. Note the ex.

In many US TV commercials the clocks will be set at 10:10 because that makes a happy face...

That ahould have been "Yay, Maggie! I don't know..."
I seemed to be suggesting Maggie didnt know and she might have done.
Ta for the extra info Loth. And yes, Buck, but are you sure they are not set to 1:50?

Maggie didn't know - your suggestion was right, gmack. But being set at 4:20 they would have looked like sad faces, wouldn't they?

I hesitate (new friends) to make pointed comments (4.20 sic) or that 1.50 and 10.10 are not identical, and can only wonder if the final edition of Times "runs off the presses" at 4.30
