Ther name niblick doesn't translate today to a specific iron, but rather to a club with a lofted face such as the 7 through 9, and most any wedge. There's a fair amount of disagreement about assigning different clubs from the past to modern clubs, but most agree that it's purpose was to be a general 'trouble iron'. Feb 26 05, 8:06 PM
