I notice that when I type "ask.funtrivia.com" the URL is changed to "funtrivia.com/ask.cfm". What does .cfm mean?

ask is a subdomain of funtrivia.com. When you type it, it redirects you to the "index" page for the subdomain. The file extension .cfm doesn't mean anything as far as the redirect goes. That file extension signifies either a ColdFusion template file, a Corel FontMaster file (which I doubt) or, most likely in this case, a Visual dBase Customer Form. As for the redirect, it could just as easily be ask.html or ask.asp if those file types would be applicable.
