This might be it.
A huge tree house which is worth 3 million pounds or 4.6 million euros, believed to be one of the world's biggest, is seen in England. The tree house, which is turreted and stands up to 60ft off the ground, has been built on the grounds of Alnwick Castle, Northumberland and was used for the filming of the Harry Potter movies. The tree house will be officially opened to the public on January 12, 2005.

You might find the following Shropshire example nearer home, Mounty.
If not the largest it is still quite large and certainly one of the oldest and most picturesque:

Actually, that house has enough incredible selling points without having a miniature house with plaster ceiling set in the largest lime tree in England.
The house has surely the best black-and-white timbered frontage, underground tunnels, a lake for coracling, Queen Victoria stayed there and during World War II, Princess Elizabeth and family lived there.
It has nearby Roman engineering works and even claims three ghosts.
