Backcourt violation is only if the basketball doesn't pass the half-court line in ten seconds I think. The ball goes to the other team then. But only if the team with possession fails to get the ball over the line. Nobody literally has to cross the line once in a game of basketball. Apr 02 05, 8:12 PM
