I'm thinking the Jewish group with the Hebrew name 'Nakam' but I don't think they actually killed anyone, just made them violently ill...

I read a book about The Avengers, Jewish partisans who tried to do this. Not sure how much literary licence there might have been in that (great story though). I recall that they infiltrated the bakery in one concentration camp and make the guards ill.

The group was called Dim Yehudi Nakam (Avenge Jewish Blood). According to the New York Times in 1946, there were 207 ill in hospital but none died.
There are others that claim more died and there are details of the plot that have only come to light in recent years. This is largely because the group's leader, Abba Kovner, thought that public knowledge of the plot would show Jews in a poor light. Interestingly there is one source claiming that a double agent diluted the arsenic used to paint the bread, thus presenting deaths.
