    Won Best Picture, Actor (Laurence Olivier), Art/Set Direction and Costume at the 1949 Academy Awards.

    		I was thinking won for Best Picture, but the question doesn't say that. The earliest movie that I can find that won an Oscar was "A Midsummer Night's Dream" in 1935.

    It was nominated for:
    Best Picture - Henry Blanke, producer
    Best Assistant Director - Sherry Shourds

    The film won two Academy Awards:
    Best Cinematography - Hal Mohr
    Best Film Editing - Ralph Dawson
