Sunday actually isn't the seventh day. Jesus grew up in Israel. When he was a little boy no one worshipped on Sunday. Jews rest on the Sabbath, which is Saturday. Christians worship on Sunday because the resurrection was on a Sunday. I haven't seen the show, and can't think of a reason straight off why he wouldn't play with the other kids.
