Did you know that the nifty theme
music you hear at the end of each
episode of the original 'Star Trek'
series actually has WORDS that go
with it? It's true! Previously
known only to a few insider
'Trekkies', here are the actual
words to the closing theme of the
original Star Trek. Pretty nice,
you might even find yourself singing
along after you watch it again!!
---------------------------------
Beyond
The rim of the star-light
My love
Is wand'ring in star-flight
I know
He'll find in star-clustered reaches
Love,
Strange love a star woman teaches.
I know
His journey ends never
His star trek
Will go on forever.
But tell him
While he wanders his starry sea
Remember, remember me.
"Theme from STAR TREK"
Lyrics by Gene Roddenberry (1966)
Music by Alexander Courage

YAY-and a fast one at that-MrsAce. Roddenbery was accused by the theme's writer, Alexander Courage, of making up the never-used lyrics in order to claim half the royalties of the song.
