    		Hmm. Funny! Should have thought someone might at least have had a go! Strange how difficult it is to google when names and places aren't mentioned! Well, here's a place name - Europe!

    		Are we talking about Bram Stoker's friendship with Henry Irving?

    The 20th century clue at least helped me rule out Mary Shelley or Robert Louis Stevenson.

    		We are indeed! Whilst he was penning "Dracula", Bram Stoker was Henry Irving's touring manager. So, Yay to gmack!
