How does the word 'Elyon', which I think is Greek, translate into English?

I believe that is a Hebrew form for "highest God." Arpeggionist? You should weigh in on this.

As a Hebrew word in isolation I think it means "higher" or "upper", but it has a lot of poetic uses in the Bible referencing God (especially in the compound 'El Elyon') that I think Arpeggionist would be better placed to explain.
I don't know if it also has a meaning as a Greek word though.
