The only link with architecture of any kind, I can think of is one of her boyfriends was known as 'Bungalow' Bill Wiggins.

That's a new one on me. Try thinking of Collins in her capacity as an actress. (I realize she's not much of one, but try it anyway.)

The Girl in the Red Velvet Swing?

(Joan portrayed Evelyn Nesbit Thaw, whose involvement with prominent architect Stanford White brought about his shocking murder in early 20th Century NYC.)

Prego! I should add that Ray Milland played Stanford White. The story also appeared in E.L. Doctorow's novel "Ragtime" and in the film based on it. Elizabeth McGovern played Evelyn and Norman Mailer (!) portrayed White.
