Is the "This Fffire" single by Franz Ferdinand any different to the version on the album, or are they both the same?

I am from Slovakia, I love FF and I have both albums. When I was in Germany, I bought their single "This Fffire". It contains the single, the video and a remix. The single is definitely different from the track "This Fire" on their debut album. Why would they name it differently if it was the same? The single has a faster beat(higher tempo) and a lot better sound. I am a drummer, and when you listen to the drums, you will notice a big difference. I can bearly listen to the old version after hearing the single. The single version is much better. I recommend.
