What was the name of the Shakespeare play with the character Viola?

Question #56943. Asked by francodr. (Apr 28 05 3:21 AM)

That would be Twelfth Night. Viola, being a lady in disguise as Cesario, had a well known line--"I am all the daughters of my father's house, and all the brothers too.".

"Twelfth Night," by the way, is rather cleverly woven into the film "Shakespeare in Love," in which the Gwyneth Paltrow character is named Viola.

In the UK, this is normally done as a GCSE play. Quite a good little set up. Not enough Feste, though, I say.
