He was a Renaissance painter who was strongly influenced by two other masters. From the architect he acquired a knowledge of mathematical proportions. From the sculptor he gained insight into a move beyond Gothic lines. Although he is known not by his original name, he is said to have influenced a Master who is more well known than he. Who was he, who were the architect and the sculptor, and who did he turn out to be a great influence to?

Masaccio, peasy, painter of the famed "Tribute Money" in the Brancacci Chapel in the Carmine in Florence. The architect was Brunelleschi, the sculptor was Donatello, and the number of painters influenced by Masaccio was legion -- but Fra Angelico, Filippo Lippi, and Michelangelo can be included.
Masaccio was born in 1401 and may have died in 1429; his death date is not certain.
