    I just noticed that there is a Major League Baseball team named the Washington Nationals, I do not remember there being such a team, when did this happen, and also were any teams kicked out of the Major League because of this?

    		The Montreal Expos moved to Washington DC and changed their name to the Nationals. So, this was a move and a name change. No teams were eliminated.

    		The Washington Nationals are an expansion team of the Montreal Expos.

    		It was always difficult to adjust to hearing French spoken on the loud speakers at the Expos games, and at all the Expos' games the Canadian Anthem would be sung in French.
