Doesot move in relation to what? If it stays stationary in relation to the earth it will move at the same speed and direction of the Earth's rotation. If not it will end up the other side of the world and would have effectively moved at over 1000mph (in relation to Earth) to have got there, assuming that it was near the Equator to start with.

Don't agree SOTHC.
If that were true 'planes wouldn't get off of the ground! (Thort a little bad grammer would add to the levit1)
Location of Beijing, China, 39, 55 N, 116, 25 E.
Circumference of Earth = 40,000 kilometers
Time for one rotation = 24 hours
12 hours = 20 000 km = half the distance
Degrees around earth = 306 o
Half the distance = 180 o
180 degrees less 116.25 Beijing's location = 63.75 degrees
Helicopter remains constant . Earth revolves 20, 000km
The helicopter would be in the Atlantic Ocean East of Atlantic City, New Jersey and north of Bermuda on that little blue colored area on my atlas.
