Which UK football club, from the eight senior divisions in England and Scotland, has its name in the Bible?

    Question #57364. Asked by gtho4. (May 24 05 8:07 PM)

Now, everyone is aware of my ignorance when it comes to sport, so I'll just say that 'Queen of the South, Hearts & Wolves' are all mentioned in the Bible but whether they are from the senior divisions is beyond me. ;)

Queen of the South is the one.

    The other two are abbreviations.

    (where's QOS mentioned .. I can't remember)

'The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.'

    Matthew chapter 12.

Ahem, the roof usually collapses just when I walk past a church let alone go in one, so don't quote me on this answer!

It must be an important quote. As well as being in Matthew 12.42 it is repeated in Luke 11.31.
