    What is the definition of indie music?

    		Indie with regard to the arts such as films and music is short for independent and in vague terms means independent of the commercial mainsteam.
    NME's indie chart includes any music not made by the "Big 4" companies, namely Warner, Universal, Sony or EMI. Problems with this definition are given below.
