When a man who converts to Judiasm is already circumcised does he still go through some type of symbolic circumcision?

i don't believe so. the only time circumcision is relavent is when the adult male who is not already circumcised converts to orthodox judaism and therefore must undergo the proedure. conversion to reformed judaism may waver this

Yes. Orthodox Judaism does require that some blood be drawn as a sort of ritual circumcision. It's not nearly as bad as full circumcision. Anesthetics can also be applied to the area (as is normally done in a regular circumcision on the 8th day of a Jewish boy's life).
