How does an wristwatch with automatic movement work?

Question #57687. Asked by OberstHoch. (Jun 11 05 8:42 AM)

Without any technicalities (which are beyond me) there's a weight that moves with the arm and hand when worn, and swings to wind up a spring which works in the normal way. It simply saves using the wheel to wind it, and if you wear it every day will be enough to keep going.
