It had a secret formula since the mid 1700's, when it was given to this family as a payment for services rendered. In the late 19th century it was given to someone in the industry who developed it further, solely for the use of his friends. One of these pals made up a name for it, which it has today. The formula was then sold by his widow. What is the meaning of the products name, who were the original owners of the recipe and what is unusual about who the widow sold it to?

Hmmm. I thought you were traveling to a place where these items would be regularly available. Stopping off somewhere else? Like, the Ross Ice Shelf?
