To be pedantic the flag is only the union jack if it is flown from the jackstaff of a ship. However almost everyone calls it the union jack so perhaps they ought to change the nae & accept that when it is flown from a jackstaff if will be the union jack jack. Jun 15 05, 5:30 AM
