The Seattle Mariners' Ichiro Suzuki became the third-fastest baseball player to collect 1,000 hits in fewer than 700 games. Chuck Klein (683 games) and Lloyd Waner (686 games) had done it in 1933 and 1932 respectively. And my source is, of course, my husband The Maven. Jun 15 05, 4:59 PM
