    In what direction do the tails of comets always face?

    		If memory serves.....the tail points away from the Sun.

    		On rare occsions I beleive their can be a very small countartail which points towards the sun. 1 tail has positively charged particles & the other has negatively charged ones

    		Yes and the tail is orientated that way by the solar wind, a stream of charged psrticles issuing from the Sun.
