    Well, the early architect Lanfranco designed the cathedral of Modena, which was for a long time part of the Este family dominions. And Modena is famous for its balsamic vinegar.

    Yes! We actually know little about Lanfranco, more's the pity, but Modenese balsamic vinegar is terrific. Worth the price.
