This poet was once a tutor to an Emperor's son. After his student was murdered he retired, and he began writing about the production of a well known aphrodisiac. However, he is more affiliated with something else that is named after him, and the place he settled to retire. Who is it, and where did he retire to?

I think this must be Ausonius, 4th-century poet, rhetorician, and tutor to Gratian, murdered son of the Emperor Valentinian. He did write about oysters and retired to Bordeaux, where he became seriously involved in winemaking. Chateau Ausone, near Saint Emilion, is named for him.
