    If the Earth stopped spinning then adjusted to an anti-clockwise rotation would time then go backwards?

    		No, time would not stop or turn back. However, for a while it would appear that the sun rises in the west. Just a minor adustment.

    		I had this very bad feeling that if the earth were to stop spinning, very unfortunate things would happen, and we wouldn't have time to think about time. Here's a site on the subject:
