'Sorry squire, I've scratched the record' was at the end of the first (?) Monty Python Album, and went in an indefinite loop. It was so long ago I can't remember if it was the third side of the album, where you could put the needle in one of two grooves, one of which gave you that message. It sounded like Eric Idle giving it.
