Sure, but what is this unit of the UK called?
Scotland is more or less an independent state, Wales is a principality. But what is Northern Ireland?

Northern Ireland is referred to as a "province" of the U.K. This is a bit odd, as the U.K. isn't divided into provinces and Northern Ireland is the only one.
