    What links A E Houseman and Denis Potter and Rosemary Sutcliffe?

    Question #58438. Asked by malcy. (Jul 21 05 3:36 AM)

    TabbyTom

    Blue Remembered Hills.

    This is the title of a play by Potter and an autobiography by Ms Sutcliffe. It's a quotation from Housman:

    Into my heart an air that kills
    From yon far country blows.
    What are those blue remembered hills?
    What spires, what farms are those?

    That is the land of lost content;
    I see it shining plain,
    The happy highways where I went
    And cannot come again.

    (A Shropshire Lad, XL)
