I did this as a scout in my teens. It's pretty simple... just devise a way of holding the bag (I think we had a look through our camping store, found a metal hoop, fitted that inside the opening of the bag and used string to clamp the bag to the hoop; the hoop also allowed us to fix a handle we could hang the bag from) Then we just put the bag over an open altar fire and boiled the water! How do we call the stuff to keep the drawer's humidity low usually in a little white paper bag? Who is really Murry Langston who always appears with a paper bag over his head? Is there a crime called 'vegetation'? I noticed in my local Missouri paper, someone was arrested for that, but the paper's known for its frequent typos. Back in the 1950's I remember my mother had something called a 'blue bag' in the laundry - about an inch square and wrapped in muslin. Used, I think, for making sheets etc white. What could it have been made of?
