Wu language has 94 dialects, Xiange language has 26 dialects, Pinghua language has 8 dialects, Min language has 69 dialects, Mandarin language has 523 dialects, Kejia/hakka language has 28 dialects, Huainan language has 5 dialects, Jin language has 124 dialects, Gan language has 64 dialects Cantonese Yue language has 44 dialects.

    Sorry to disappoint, but I don't see how there can be any accurate answer to this question as the decision as to whether or not a "variety of a language" constitutes a dialect almost invariably includes some non-linguistic crieria. Should "social dialects" ("sociolects") count, for example?
