    According to research carried out four years ago, which sort of bread is most effective at mopping up gravy? Also how does temperature of gravy in a roast dinner affect its absorption by the other components of the dinner?

    Yay, Peasy although with that link I couldn't pick up your source as easily as Ciabatta picks up gravy.
    I did find it in the end. White bread cut lengthways? What a strange concept.
