With what seasonings and condiments?
Yay, peasy! For our other players, St. Lawrence was martyred by being roasted on a grill (under your guy, Valerian, peasy, who certainly got his comeuppance), which has become his traditional attribute in painting. Here's one of my favorite depictions of the subject (do enlarge the image):
