I'm not sure if "Amadeus" is considered a musical, but it won Best Picture in 1984.
If not Amadeus, then "Oliver!" won in 1968, but there again, even though it is adapted from a British stage musical, I'm not sure the movie itself is considered a musical.
Finally, I am sure that "The Sound of Music" won in 1965, and THAT is most assurdely a musical.

"Oliver!" is most definitely a musical. I drove my poor parents crazy for days singing "Consider Yourself."
"Amadeus," though a very musical film, was not a musical in the generally understood sense of the term. Perhaps if Wolfgang and Salieri had broken into song ...

Well, I'll have to give a Yay to Josh for talking out loud, and to Frankie for double confirmation of Josh's answer.

That would be the musical movie version of "Oliver!"
which won in 1968. "Chicago" was the first movie muscial in 34 years to win Best Movie.
