    US TV has often bought the rights to British sitcoms and recast them, frequently making them into a shadow of the original. But which US sitcoms have been bought and remade for British television?

    		"Brighton Belles" was a remake of the U.S. hit "Golden Girls." I've heard that someone also tried to create a U.K. version of "Married ... With Children" that didn't work particularly well.
