    Domestic sporting competition - any competition that is not played between teams from many countries, such as the European Champions League soccer; the competition can have teams from more than one country though, eg any of the North American competitions (NBA, NHL etc).
    What is the longest road-trip (by distance) in any domestic sporting competition?

    		According to http://www.geobytes.com/CityDistanceTool.htm the distance from Tampa to Calgary is 3687km

    I heard on the radio recently that the longest road trip is from Auckland New Zealand to Perth Western Australia, which occurs in both the Australian National Basketball League and the new A-League soccer competition, which is a distance of 5354km according to the above site
