Which UK restaurant has a bacon and eggs flavoured ice cream as its signature dish and are any other restaurants noted for their unlikely-sounding savoury dessert combinations?

Yay, Peasy! The sciencee of molecular gastronomy, mentioned in the article, is being looked at in an attempt to mathematically codify food. This is so that food replicaters can make a wide variety of foods on the spot from a few simplest ingredients.

Sciencee? I have seen a recipe for chocolate cake using mayonnaise but then I suppose that is just egg and oil.

How about a fish and chips flavoured pudding...?

According to the news today, someone, and God knows why is going to start serving Black Pudding ice cream.
Here's one link, and it could only happen in Ireland.

Yes, Peasy, codifying food sounds a tad mysterious.
I meant defining a food in mathematical language using symbols to represent ingredients and further symbols to indicate how they are mixed, folded or layered.
Such language can then be used in a machine to create the food from the ingredients. It is hope that these ideas can be used to make a food replicator for astronauts in space.
NASA's Institute for Advanced Concepts has given $75,000 for a six-month feasibility study starting in September.
