He designed and build an opera house. Then he built the sculptures and designed the interior of that opera house. And sice that wasn't enough he also wrote an opera to be performed there. Finally, he conducted and starred in the opera in his opera house. Where is this opera house, what is the opera in question, and who was the man who created it all?

I think this one should be in the unanswered question list.
Although I am quite keen to know the answer so if you can remember Arpy... :)

You're right. It has been a while, and nobody has been able to venture a close guess. Well, I see no reason to hold back the answer. The answer is Gianlorenzo Bernini (1598-1680), who in the course of a remarkably long life became known more as an architecht and sculptor than for his musical gifts. The opera house in question is in Rome, but the name of the opera I still haven't been able to figure out.
