May I know why the west coast of Korea has large tidal ranges, above 10 meters, while the east coast is significantly different with only small tidal ranges of 0.3m at most?

My guess is there's more water pressure in the bay between Korea and China, where a relatively strong current comes in from the South China Sea, while there's plenty of room for the water to go in the Pacific on the eastern side of Korea. Aug 28 05, 8:27 AM
