Brad Pitt has a mild case of viral meningitis but was released from the hospital, his publicist said. Pitt, 41, checked himself into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Monday night complaining of flulike symptoms. He went home Wednesday afternoon, shortly after the diagnosis was made, his publicist said. Most patients recover from viral meningitis in a week. Pitt was in Ethiopia last week with Angelina Jolie to pick up her newly adopted baby girl.
