We can see other planets like Jupiter, Venus and Mars by naked eye. The visibility is dependent on the size of the planet, its brightness and distance from the Earth.

Let's leave on one side the fact that it's not a good idea to look directly at the sun which is actually a source of light. The moon and all the planets generate no light of their own, they can only be seen because they reflect light from the sun. Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn reflect enough light to be seen with the naked eye, as does the moon, of course, but the others don't.
